Alderson Broaddus University is voluntarily resigning its accreditation, effective December 31st, the same day the university loses its right to award degrees. The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission voted earlier this week to revoke the university’s power to grant degrees because it is at least 37-million-dollars in debt and owes hundred-of-thousands in unpaid utility bills.
