A former animal rescue worker is under arrest and charged with more than two-dozen counts of animal cruelty. Officers searched her home on the west side of Charleston and found two dead dogs in a freezer, another emaciated dog living in a crate and a mother cat with a broken spine and two dehydrated kittens. None of the animals had food or water.
