An arrest warrant was issued for a former Chapmanville police officer indicted in connection with the disappearance of a missing police K-9 after he did not appear in court Wednesday morning. 26-year old Marcus Dudley, formerly of South Charleston, was scheduled to appear in circuit court for arraignment on his six-count indictment related to the disappearance of missing K-9 Chase. Defense attorneys argued the former officer now lives out of state and could not find transportation to be present for the hearing. Judge Duke Bloom called it a shallow excuse.
