Kanawha County woman faces animal cruelty charges

A former animal rescue worker is facing more than two dozen charges after humane officers said dead, injured and starving animals were found at her Kanawha County home. 28-year old Stacia Aab of Charleston, was arrested on 26 pending counts of cruelty to animals. Charleston Police Department. Officers searched a West Side home Thursday following an animal cruelty complaint and found that power to the home had been disconnected in mid-June. The animals that were still alive didn’t have access to food or water. Aab is being housed at the South Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
