Parts of Boone and Kanawha Counties received several inches of rain in only a 3 hour period. The same locations picked up 2-4″ of rain Saturday evening, with another four inches reported by Monday in places like Hamlin and Gassaway. Flooding was observed in some locations as a result, with Fields Creek, Little Creek, Slaughter Creek along with Horsemill Branch and Bufflick Branch just west of Mammoth the most impacted. Rain chances continue through Wednesday morning with another four inches of rain possible in some locations.
