Cabell County Chief Deputy Doug Adams told Eyewitness News that most traffic violations near schools happen during the first few days of the school year and they are usually speed-related. Besides school zone violations, officers are paying close attention to the illegal passing of school buses.Throughout the school year, patrols will be assigned to random buildings. The extra hours will be paid for with grant money.
