There’s been a change in fire protection in the Teays Valley area. As of last night, fire protection in Teays Valley will go from 24-hour service to 12 hours a day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The changes were announced in July. It’s possible that state funding could come to the department after a bill passed in the recent special session, which would help cover salaries and expand the hours again.
