The sheriff’s office said 45-year old Michael D. Spears is charged with two counts of rape, third-degree felonies, and one count of sexual abuse, a first-degree felony. The charges came after Boyd County deputies investigated an alleged sexual misconduct incident between a female student and Spears. Deputies seized cell phones, computers and thumb drives as part of the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
