Following the vote to cut 28 majors and more than 100 faculty positions at West Virginia University, the university’s library system could be the next to take cuts. On Wednesday, the university released findings of a review, and the library had the most cuts recommended as it was proposed the system would cut its budget by $800,000. The libraries have until December 1 to submit a plan to reach that reduction. Faculty that is cut from that plan will be notified the following week. No libraries on campus will close under the plan, but staff positions could be cut.
