Local ministry is repurposing a former Dunbar elementary school

A former elementary school in Dunbar is getting a facelift. Eyewitness News said Ten-Up Ministries decided to purchase the building that was once Ford Elementary School to help those who have completed a year-long recovery program get back on their feet. The former Ford School will now house seven two-bedroom apartments on its top floor, with an estimated rent of $300 to $400 a month. The rest of the school will be turned into spaces for the residents to attend life skill and parenting classes or pursue their GED. The goal is to have the new building ready a year from now.
