State’s therapy dog program expands to Chapmanville school

First Lady Cathy Justice introduced a therapy dog to the students at Chapmanville Intermediate School this week. The yellow lab is part of West Virginia’s “Friends with Paws” program as it continues to expand. Malfoy is the 14th therapy dog to be placed in a school as part of the initiative. The idea is to allow students to have a healthy outlet to express their emotions and feel comfort, and the goal is for each county to eventuallyl have at least one therapy dog.
