Deputies have released the name of a man that was killed early Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Kanawha County. 41-year old James Richardson of Cross Lanes, was struck by a vehicle while crossing Old Goff Mountain Road about 1:15 a.m. and pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. A 60-year-old man driving the vehicle involved, and detectives said evidence suggests both the victim and driver were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Charges are pending from the outcome of the investigation and toxicology reports.
