A woman is facing charges after losing control of a truck and crashing into a Wayne County barbershop Monday morning. Candie Rae Phillips has been charged with driving without insurance, driving with a revoked DUI and failure to produce a license, according to jail records. West Virginia State Police said the crash occurred at Shelby’s Barbershop on Fifth Street in Lavalette and caused extensive damage. First responders said no one was inside the shop at the time of the wreck. Phillips is being held at Western Regional Jail on a $5,000 surety/cash bail.
