Crews responded to a structure fire in Charleston just after 11:30 p.m. Friday night, and ultimately, two homes were damaged. Charleston firefighters said the fire occurred at a home on Carte Street, and the blaze spread to a neighboring house.
Firefighters said both homes were occupied at the time of the fire, but everyone was able to get out safely. The house where the fire began and the neighboring home are inhabitable, according to firefighters. The exact cause of the fire is still unknown but it appears to be accidental.
