I-64 bridge project is making progress, one year from completion

West Virginia Division of Highways officials were on hand at this week’s Nitro City Council meeting to give an update on the Nitro/St. Albans Interstate 64 bridge project. Construction should be finished by fall of next year. Work on the eastbound and westbound sides will be happening at the same time and the project will wrap up with the final stage of work from the Nitro exit east toward Cross Lanes. Around 60,000 people drive through the area every day and the goal is to improve the flow and avoid congestion.
