Man is wanted for buying lottery tickets with stolen credit cards, tips welcome

Police want help finding a man after several convenience stores were defrauded of thousands of dollars in lottery tickets, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the latest incident happened on Aug. 3rd at the Little General gas station on Sissonville Drive. A man identified as Tyshaan Tyrez Williams bought $3,500 worth of lottery tickets using several credit cards in multiple transactions. The credit cards used were stolen. Deputies learned that several stores in Kanawha County and surrounding counties have been victims of the same scam by Williams. Anyone who recognizes Williams or believes they have been a victim of this scam is asked to contact authorities.
