A Charleston company aims to become more environmentally friendly

A Charleston-based mobility company will be adding hybrid vehicles to its fleet in a quest to become more eco-friendly. Link Transportation has introduced the Hyundai Sonata to its lineup of vehicles with plans to research battery options in order to transition from hybrid to electric vehicles in the future. A news release from the company said 120 solar panels were installed on the roof of Link’s headquarters in 2021 to kickstart a more sustainable business. The installation produces a surplus of energy which may be used to charge an electric fleet and company officials expect the transition to take at least two years as EV infrastructure becomes more commonplace in the Mountain State.
