A business in Elkview is making the move to Downtown Charleston. Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin announced that Worley, and most of its 170 employees, will move into new offices in Laidley Tower. Charleston city council approved a resolution that would provide up to 120 monthly parking spaces in Municipal Parking Building #2 for 36 months, at no cost to the company. The company would have to commit to establishing a new operations for a minimum seven year lease in a downtown facility. Worley is headquartered in Australia and is a global provider of professional project and asset services in the energy chemicals and resources sectors. Their goal is to help customers reduce their emissions and move toward a low-carbon future.
