The City of Charleston is offering free parking for holiday shoppers and visitors on select days. Parking fees will be waived on all metered on-street parking on Nov. 25, Dec. 2, Dec. 9, Dec. 16, Dec. 23 and Dec. 30. The City hopes the free parking will encourage people to shop locally during the holidays. There will still be all day free parking at city-owned parking garages during weekends and 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays.
