Governor Jim Justice has ordered his chief of staff to conduct a full internal investigation regarding any potential coverup of conditions and other issues at the Southern Regional Jail. Brian Abraham said Wednesday that investigation is what has already led to Brad Douglas, the executive officer for state corrections, and Phil Sword, general counsel for DHS, being terminated. More changes in command could be coming. Abraham and Justice both indicated that those currently in leadership positions know it is their responsibility to get things in order.
