Investigation leads to a major drug bust in Huntington

Nearly 30 people have been indicted in a multi-state drug trafficking investigation centered around the Huntington area this week. Federal prosecutors said the indictments were part of an eight-month investigation and includes people from Michigan, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia. The 27 people were charged for their alleged role in a drug trafficking organization accused of distributing large quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl in the Huntington area. Officers said they have so far seized about two pounds of methamphetamine, two pounds of fentanyl, 26 firearms and about $10,500 in cash.
