A woman has been charged in connection with a stolen ambulance Wednesday morning in Kanawha County. 34-year old Amanda Holstein of Dunbar is charged with one count of grand larceny and one count of driving under the influence while fleeing among other charges, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. Holstein is accused of stealing a Kanawha County ambulance while medics were inside a home on a medical call in the 1000 block of Myers Avenue. Deputies said they were able to quickly locate the ambulance due to it being equipped with GPS capabilities, but it continued to flee. The ambulance eventually came to a stop on Ogden Hill Road in Sissonville. Holstein is currently being held on a $10,000 bond.
