Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association staff and volunteers are planning to provide TLC to sheltered animals over the Thanksgiving howl-iday. The shelter’s ninth annual “Furry Feast” will start early Thursday, giving every dog the chance for a one-on-one walk, a Thanksgiving feast and a professional picture before cats are visited for plenty of attention, pets and cuddles, according to a news release from the shelter. The shelter will also host a Black Friday adoption event where adult dogs, cats, kittens and pups over 25 pounds will come with no adoption fees from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Adoptions will include spaying or neutering, a microchip and up-to-date vaccinations along with deworming and flea/tick treatments.
