The Marshall University Athletics Facebook page congratulates a cross country runner who will be going to the national competition. It’s the first time in program history that Marshall will have one of its runners from the women’s team at nationals. Abby Herring is originally from Parkersburg and is a three-time Sun Belt Conference Athlete of the Week. She’ll be running for the Thundering Herd, trying to bring home a national medal on November 18 at the University of Virginia.
