Resources available to those impacted by West Side gas outage

Dozens of agencies have helped those on Charleston’s West Side who have been impacted by the gas outage. Members of the West Virginia National Guard were called in to help, and groups including the Pastors of African-American Churches and the United Way of Central West Virginia have chipped in to help hundreds of families. The WV Health Right West Side location has served more than a thousand meals in the past week. WV Health Right and the United Way of Central West Virginia are still looking for donation of food, water, can money so they can help more people. WV Health Right will offer hot meals at its West Side location on Central Avenue from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and Friday. They’ll have pickup meals on Thanksgiving Day.
