West Virginia Attorney General Race is down to two

West Virginia Sen. Ryan Weld announced he is dropping out of the 2024 race for the state’s attorney general. The Republican from Brooke County, who is also the Senate Majority Whip, said in a statement Wednesday he is switching his focus to a reelection bid to the state’s senate. The move leaves two Republicans – current auditor J.B. McCuskey and current state Sen. Mike Stuart – vying for the attorney general seat.
