The West Virginia Public Service Commission is considering a rate increase request by West Virginia American Water that would increase water bills. The agency is asking for an additional $41 million from their customers on future water bills, which would be a 22% rate increase or about $20 more per month. The Public Service Commission has to approve the company’s request. A decision won’t be announced until sometime in early 2024.
