Four people were arrested after a series of thefts in Saint Albans last Saturday. St. Albans police initially got a call about an entire shelf of over-the-counter medications being stolen from a pharmacy along Sixth Avenue. The value of the medication was over $2500. The theft spree ended on Sunday, Jan. 28 after a traffic stop in the 2400 block of MacCorkle Avenue and deputies discovered several stolen items inside the van that was pulled over. There was a theft around the samd time at Auto Zone and several items were taken. Similar thefts have been reported in Kanawha and Putnam countie, according to St. Albans Police. The four arrested claimed to be Romanian, currently be living in Charlotte, North Carolina. Three children with them at the time of the arrest were placed into protective custody.
