Cabell County School District approved on Wednesday over $550,000 for playground construction and renovation for several schools in the county. The contribution includes $223,200 for a new playground at Milton Elementary, $154,400 for playground replacement at Southside Elementary, $98,000 for a new playground at Davis Creek Elementary and $97,000 for a new playground at Meadows Elementary, which accounts for about $400 per student according to news release from Cabell County Schools. Cabell County Schools hopes to secure additional funding through an excess levy.
