As reported by 13 News, a woman is wanted by authorities for allegedly stabbing a relative in Barboursville. According to Cabell County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Doug Adams, the incident happened when the victim called authorities to report that she had been stabbed at a home on Vance Drive around 6:13 p.m. Friday night. Deputies say the victim told them the suspect, identified as Carrie Brown, 30, of Barboursville allegedly ran at her and cut her arm with a butcher knife. Brown allegedly then ran into the woods. According to Adams, the victim was treated at the scene for what appeared to be a non-life-threatening injury. Deputies searched the area for Brown, but she has not yet been located. A criminal complaint has been filed against Brown for allegations of domestic assault, domestic battery and attempt to commit a felony.
