Members of the Belle Fire Department responded to a tragic mobile home fire Sunday in Dupont City. Two people and several dogs died in the fire at the Holbrook Court trailer park around 3:45 am Sunday. A man and a woman, both in their 70s, died in the blaze and their bodies were taken to the medical examiner’s office. An adjacent home also suffered fire damage. Along with the Belle Fire Department, members of the Cedar Grove and Malden Fire Departments also responded. The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
