Two Columbus police officers are accused of stealing multiple kilos of drug evidence and providing it to others to sell. Court records show the officers are accused of switching 20 kilos of drug with fake powder in the Columbus police property room too. 31-year-old John Castillo from Grove City and 34-year-old Joel Mefford from London were both arraigned, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio. The investigation began in 2020.
