US Postal Service holds first public meeting to address processing plant’s future

The United States Postal Service held its first public meeting Wednesday night about the future of the USPS processing and distribution center in South Charleston. Those who attended brought up concerns about job security and efficiency when it comes to the shipping process. The US Postal Service previously said a review is underway as part of a 10-year, $40 billion investment to modernize the aging postal system. The review process is continuing.
