A woman has been charged after Kanawha County deputies said she led them on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle. 21-year old Destiny McAfee of Parkersburg is charged with grand larceny and fleeing with reckless indifference, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the vehicle was initially reported missing in the Point Lick area and within 20 minutes was spotted by Kanawha County deputies near Rutledge. McAfee is accused of ignoring deputies’ commands to stop and reaching speeds of 90 mph during the pursuit.
Deputies said the truck eventually stopped on a dirt road in the Sanderson area and McAfee was taken into custody.
