First responders have returned home from the hospital following a crash involving a fire truck that occurred near the Wayne-Cabell County line last week. A fourth Green Valley firefighter injured in the wreck was released from the hospital Sunday, according to Green Valley VFD Lt. Justin Adkins. Eyewitness News said two of the firefighters are facing months of recovery. Green Valley VFD truck 804 and was responding to a blaze in Wayne County on Wednesday, March 13 when the truck overcorrected and crashed into a creek along Grassy Lick Road, according to West Virginia State Police. The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
