An inmate at a high security penitentiary in West Virginia died Saturday after being found unresponsive. Jevonte L. Green was serving a 65-month sentence USP Hazelton for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to a news release from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Green had been at the Preston County facility since Feb. 6. Investigators said Hazleton employees initiated life-saving measures and contacted EMS personnel who pronounced Green dead. The death remains under investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
