KCEAA takes over Cedar Grove 911 calls

According a news release from Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority, they are now responding to 911 calls from the Cedar Grove area, taking over from the Cedar Grove Volunteer Fire Department Monica Mason, KCEAA Executive Director, said “We look forward to responding to calls for service in the Cedar Grove area, and we are committed to providing the same level of attention and quality patient care that the fire department has provided through the years,” They have already hired two full-time EMTs from the Cedar Grove fire department, which has been responsible for the towns emergency response since 1974. Cedar Grove Fire Chief Michael Coleman assured resident of the area “Our friends and neighbors can look forward to the same level of service after this transition.” While KCEAA will take over, the ambulance will remain stationed at the fire department.
