The West Virginia Department of Human Services (DoHS) is teaming up with Aetna Better Health of West Virginia, Mission West Virginia, and ten foster care groups in a campaign to find more foster parents to fix the lack of foster care homes in the state. The campaign wants to reach out to single and married adults who have thought about being foster parents but have not done it yet. They hope to make the process of becoming a foster family less scary. They want families to feel strong enough to do it.To get more people to become foster parents, the campaign’s website is wefosterwv.org. It has information on how to become approved. It also talks about common wrong ideas about foster care.
