A woman has been charged in a shooting overnight in Kanawha County. 38-year old Cora Collins is charged with malicious wounding after being accused of shooting her 39-year-old husband, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. The shooting was reported just before midnight in the 100 block of Lee Street East in Jefferson. Deputies said the man, whose name was not released, initially suffered serious injuries to his groin but has since been upgraded to stable condition. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening. Collins is currently being held on a $15,000 bond.
