The Lavista area in Fayette County was one of the hardest hit during Tuesday’s storm. That’s close to Hico along Route 60. They’re still assessing the damage, but officials have said so far it may be a long road to recovery. The Midland Trail Community Center is always accepting donations of toiletries like deodorants, soaps and toothpaste for emergencies like these. Needed items at the fire department include trash bags and tarps.
