Judge orders a mental evaluation for a an involved in a fatal accident

A man who is facing charges related to a deadly crash will have to undergo a mental evaluation. A judge at the pretrial hearing ordered Samuel McCoy to have a psychological evaluation before his next scheduled court date on June 17. A police chase last October started in Wayne County after McCoy failed to stop for drug enforcement officers. The pursuit went into Cabell County where McCoy hit an SUV, and a 16-year old passenger died from his injuries. Three others were hurt. McCoy pleaded not guilty last month. He remains in the Western Regional Jail.
