Volunteer group plans a K-9 Chase memorial

A memorial is in the works to honor K-9 Officer Chase. Artwork, clothing, and pins were recently sold in South Charleston by members of the group “Justice for K-9 Officer Chase” to raise money to buy protective equipment for other k-9’s across the region. A memorial statue is also in the works in memory of Chase and the plan is to put it up in the Barboursville K-9 Memorial Park. Many haven’t given up hope that K-9 Chase will be found. Chase was a K-9 Officer with the Chapmanville Police Department and he’s been missing for more than a year. A $1500 reward has been offered for information leading to the dog’s safe return.
