90-day mental health evaluation to determine whether Point Pleasant man can stand trial

A man accused of fatally stabbing his father in Point Pleasant will stay in a mental health facility for a maximum of 90 days to see if he is fit for trial. Charles Neal Jr. stabbed his father, Charles Neal Sr. back in December of 2023. Point Pleasant Police said at the time that the victim was flown to the hospital where he died a day later. The mental health facility will report back to the courts to recommend whether Neal Jr. is able to stand trial.
