A new park will be built in Montgomery

The town of Montgomery cut the ribbon on a brand new riverfront park this week. The park will be financed through a mixture of individual donations and grants from the Kanawha Valley Commission, and it will feature slides, a seesaw and a swing set. It’s expected to be a good spot for fishing too. In addition to the park, Eyewitness News reported that Montgomery is also planning to build a new pavilion, a splash pad and an event center that will take up an entire block on Ferry Street.
