A teen is indicted in January tobacco shop shooting

Several indictments were handed down by a grand jury in some high-profile Kanawha County cases on Friday. Among those indicted were 14-year-old Breā€™Juan LaQuay Williams-Hampton, who is accused in the shooting death of a tobacco shop employee in Charleston. Williams-Hampton was indicted on first-degree murder and first-degree robbery charges in the death of 19-year old Caden Martin on Jan. 30 while Martin was working at Tobacco & Pipe in the 2000 block of 7th Avenue in North Charleston. Another 14-year-old, also charged with first-degree murder, has not been identified because his case is still sealed and in juvenile court. Eyewitness News reported in April that a tentative plea deal is in the works for Williams-Hampton.
