FEMA arrives in WVA to meet with victims of April storms

FEMA has arrived and is traveling through West Virginia to assist those needing aid after storms swept the state in early April. Tornadoes, flooding and landslides swept through West Virginia between April 2-6, affecting 11 counties. The Disaster Recovery Center in Kanawha County at the Tyler Mountain Fire Department, 5380 Big Tyler Rd is being used for disaster assistance applications, uploading documents, and getting questions answered. Residents who experienced losses or property damage during the April storms should apply for aid by July 22. The center is open Monday through Saturday,8AM to 6 PM
