Students at the Marshall University Bill Noe Flight School are now able to learn to how fly helicopters. The flight school celebrated the arrival of the program’s first-ever helicopter at West Virginia International Yeager airport Monday afternoon. The event showcased the new H-125 single engine helicopter along with a new virtual reality simulator to teach students how to fly the aircraft. Nancy Ritter, chief of aviation operations at Marshall University, told Eyewitness News there is a shortage of helicopter pilots not only in West Virginia, but across the U.S.
