A city council member in Ravenswood has resigned amid an ongoing investigation. Mayor Josh Miller said Denise Toler resigned from all boards, commissions and authorities after having served on the council since 2016. Miller said in the statement that they take their “values and code of conduct seriously,” and “expect all city officials and employees to adhere to these standards.” Miller told Eyewitness News the investigation is related to routine audit findings that has since been turned over to West Virginia State Police and the state auditor’s office.
