A man died in a Roane County house fire on Friday. The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office’s office said the fire broke out at a home in the 100 block of Spencer Avenue Friday evening and the victim was a 67-year-old man. The cause of the fire was most likely accidental due to an electrical malfunction. The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office said this incident was the first of three fatal fires within four days. An 81-year-old man died in an early-morning fire Saturday in Rock Cave in Upshur County, and a 56-year-old woman was killed in a fire at an apartment complex in Hurricane Monday morning.
