Two face charges for allegedly locking children in a barn in Sissonville

Several indictments were handed down by a grand jury in some high-profile Kanawha County cases on Friday. Jeanne Kay High Whitefeather and Donald Ray Lantz were indicted in a case where children were found locked in a barn in Sissonville. The pair were each charged with human trafficking of a minor child, use of a minor child in forced labor, and child neglect. Whitefeather and Lantz were charged after deputies responded to the property for a welfare check. Whitefeather previously alleged that the barn was a “teenage clubhouse” and that the children were not locked inside. A federal judge has ordered Child Protective Services to provide more information in the case.
